In a highly dubious political stunt designed to serve the dual purpose of boosting a foreign politician’s upcoming domestic election prospects and, for the Republicans, damaging President Obama, Binyimin Netenyahu was invited by Republican leaders to make a speech in Congress attacking the Iran policies of the President of the United States. One senator said afterwards .. "This speech was straight out of the Dick Cheney playbook. It was fearmongering at its ultimate." .. (story here).
Being asked to trust the Bush brand again brings to mind the wise words of Jeb’s brother, good ‘ol ‘Dubbya’ himself .. “There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on —

Jeb Bush, in seeking to distance himself from George W’s toxic legacy, has been telling every journalist who would listen ‘I-am-my-own-man’. However Jeb has also hired as his advisers the same foreign policy team that under ‘Dubbya’ led (or lied) the USA into the cripplingly expensive, morally bankrupt, and totally unnecessary debacle of the Iraq ‘war’ .. hardly reassuring ..
